Chester is so funny, aside from the occasional shrill bark he's pretty quiet...it's all in his expression! He regards you with a bemused gaze often cocking his head to one side in the cutest way dogs do, seeming to be baffled by humans and their strange ways. He was in the front of the truck with me once and the turn signal combined with the windshield wipers moving rhythmically in front of him was just too much! In this shot here he is getting movie star treatment, all cozy wrapped in a blanket after the hike - the only time he sat still all day! Awww, gotta love him!
Cooper is so funny, she is all shy and timid until she leaps out of the truck, then WHAM! Party Dog kicks in (think Jackass) - She is always the instigator of huge dog scrums as she get the whole pack rolling around in the snow (or mud - yikes!) In this shot though she is really looking cute as she waits patiently for a biscuit, bless! Don't be fooled - as soon we resume the hike she's back on it!
A sunny day where the temperature had dropped enough so we didn't sink into the snow - Avi lead the charge as they galloped round and round for the whole hike! Check out the big doggy grins as they leap off the rocks - awesome! From L-R Ever, Indy's tail (!), Cooper, Spanky, Ruby, Bud Bud, Avi
Carman the Basset is sooooooo funny, she hasn't yet grown into her body so her head and ears seems way too big! She is all squishy and puppy soft, and this shot was taken the first day I met her. She rode in the truck with me so we could get to know each other. This shot was taken in between pitiful howls as she didn't understand why I kept getting out and leaving her to put the others in the back on the way to the hike. She was all confused for a bit there...until she met the others who all sniffed her with interest, and after a bewildered couple of minutes she soon got the gist of it all and nearly pulled my arms off as she rushed off to play! She rules, she is learning soooo fast and gets in the truck happily with the others and seems to attract fascination from Spanky (funky little white Westie) who runs around her in circles yapping.

Ever is awesome, a big, happy, loving dog who is a big scaredy cat...if anyone growls at her she hides behind me and looks all worried until something fun comes up and she just HAS to go play! So sweet, and so cheeky...you can't help but love her to bits.
Scout is a dog like a coiled spring, she is sooooo full of energy and so funny..when she dances around all you can see is her teeth and a mass of black curly fur as she corks and twists through the air, she is like a whirlwind! When I can get her to sit still she looks up at me with such a cute face, and gives big wet kisses. She runs waaaay further than the others and is SO GOOD with it...she always comes on command without fail - top dog!
Kaylah is mad - and I love her for it...as you can tell by the drool! She is a barker, all day everyday...unless she has a stick or a ball in her mouth...and even when you throw it for her she takes one look, ignores it and barks until you pick up something else!! She is a real sucker for deep powder...especially pillows over rock features...she careers down getting face shots and barks all at the same time...she often has to stop as she inhales and has to remove the fresh pow from her airways with a hacking sound of a heavy smoker then she's off again!!! She rules...I'd love for her to keep still enough to cuddle but she's too stoked on playing for that! (another thing that is making me laugh out loud as I type is her webbed paws...see the piccy...they are always splayed with the effort of her barking and the downward pressure of each bark splays them more...if that makes sense...laughing too hard to explain clearly!!!)
Duchess looks adorable! She is lovely, she lives with a pug named Duke - who was so hyperactive I couldn't get a picture of him, he wouldn't keep still enough!! Spanky, the Westie in the backgound climbs aboard Oban to get a closer look in!..the second shot explains the cute faces - cookie time with Tiff, the Fairy Dogmother!
Hey...quit laughing at me and let me out! I wanna go sleep now, that hike was awesome, but I'm tired now!!!
Bud goes for it while Ruby looks on...they love snow as much as we do...especially when there's fresh pow, they get face shots and dive though it like dolphins catching waves! These dogs make me laugh so much - I am frequently doubled up laughing by their antics :)
Budweiser, or Buddy Bud Bud Bud! Such a smiley, happy dog - he is awesome! He sings sooooo loud when he's collected for the hike, and dances round in circles...dogs rule, they are always so happy to see you :)
He's grinning at me here 'cos he's just come flying back from playing in the snow after I have called him and knows he's been a good boy!
Indy is such a sweetie...a squirrel or some other distraction caught her attention just as I was taking this, she scampered off in hot pursuit just after the shot was taken!
...So I charged off after her and we then started to play chase around the tree...she was so funny! I

...believe me, that's a miracle in itself :)
This was back in December, super cold, and super deep snow! But the sun was out and we all had a great time!
